- Pawns = yourself at different ages. Higher number = closer to present.
- Move one step per turn. Future selves cascade back automatically. If only pawn 0 remains, it may still move one step in any direction.
- Attack an opponent pawn only if your index ≥ theirs → kills them and all future selves.
- You can also move onto your own past self (suicide) to rewrite history.
- White goes first. Eliminate every opponent pawn to win.
